Rick Green
Rick is a founding member of Steelbrook Capital. He joined the Equus Holdings leadership team in 2017. Rick has successfully led several companies and co-founded a private equity firm, Denali Partners. Additionally, he performed a turn around for a portfolio company of a private equity firm. Rick has participated in over 30 M&A transactions, typically owning the responsibility to deliver the forecast post integration. Prior to joining Equus Holdings, Rick held positions with several companies including McKinsey & Company, Emerson Electric, Nationwide Electric and most recently Range Systems. Rick has a a Masters in Management from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.

Jim Sorboro
Jim is a founding member of Steelbrook Capital. He joined Equus Holdings as Chief Financial Officer in 2020 to lead the finance, IT and legal functions. Jim was previously the CFO and had responsibility for finance, legal, IT, customer service, and supply chain at private equity sponsored Phillips and Temro Industries. Prior to that, he spent 9 years at private equity sponsored Katun Corporation, with the last 7 as CFO and as a member of the Board of Directors. He held various accounting, manufacturing finance and international operations roles, at publicly traded Cypress Semiconductor and Sysco to start his career. Jim has an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota with a double concentration in Finance and Accounting in addition to his B.S. in Finance from Miami University.

Anthony Pence
Anthony is founding member of Steelbrook Capital. He joined Equus Holdings in 2019 as the VP, Corporate Development after a 20+ year career in investment banking mostly focused on lower middle market companies. Anthony is responsible for developing the company’s investment strategy, which includes originating, reviewing and leading the diligence and investment process. Prior to joining Equus Holdings, Anthony’s investment banking career included BlackTorch Capital, Teneca, TripleTree, and Dain Bosworth (now RBC Capital Markets). He also previously spent time in Corporate Development at Vodafone. Anthony holds a B.A. in Economics and Finance from the University of St. Thomas, where he graduated magna cum laude.
